Identify. Assess. Respond.

Creating a structured system of support between school adminstrators and local law enforcement enabling safer environments for students and communities.

HOW WE DO IT

Prepare and assist law enforcement and school teams in creating a structured system of support enabling a safer environment for students and communities. We bring hope back into schools. We teach school and law enforcement agencies to build a collaborative relationship to make a positive difference in their community.

Our training system was designed by school administrators and law enforcement officers shortly after the school shooting in Saugus, CA. It was apparent we needed something to combat the growing amount of threats and school violence experienced on our school campuses. Between them, the team shares over 80 years of experience working in schools with a focus on school safety and juvenile justice. The team is dedicated to creating safer communities by building systems that help bring support to at-risk students and bring hope back into schools.

We are dedicated to creating an individualized plan for your school or district. Our presentations and lessons are based on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies so that each training is original and unique to the needs of your school. Our specialized training is not one size fits all. The school teams will be led through multiple engaging activities to help them develop systems and decision making skills necessary for today’s problems surrounding schools safety and threats.

WHO WE ARE

Our process is rooted in the founders’ decades-long work dedicated to preventing school violence within their community in Southern California. Driven by their desire to make a difference and share the practices that have helped them confront threats, aggression and violence on school campuses, STAMP was formed to formalize the system the founders developed over the years so it can be utilized with other schools and communities. With esteemed careers in education and law enforcement, Stacy Cashman- Director of Student Services- and police officers Stephen Turner and Dustin Rodriguez will use their rich and deep experiences to broaden their reach beyond their school system into other schools systems and communities. Through the collective expertise of a multidisciplinary team of educators, police officers, and mental health providers, we offer a unique multi-tiered system for guiding and training front line educators and law enforcement to be self-supportive; teaching them how to identify and assess threatening behavior, create support networks, and monitor student risk and post incident student recovery. The model is easily replicated but also fluid, allowing for it to be customized to support the specific needs of each community.

OUR MISSION

To bridge the gap between schools and law enforcement, and provide training, and guidance empowering front-line educators to identify, assess, and respond to threatening and concerning behavior on school campuses.

“We bring hope back into schools.”
